Woe to the Unassimilated

Well it’s another day in paradise. I’m stuck at home in my underwear with no where to go and I
Turn on the tv to rot my brain to stop the pain of being useless to society
Here I am, another day goes by, I might as well say goodbye to success in this life
Sad as it may be to be me, I can’t help but smile in spite, of all of your useless degrees
I~ No I don’t care
No I won’t be bullied into your own paradigm of happiness
Who the hell are you to say what makes me smile
This is my life, you’ve got your own to do what you wanna do
So please kindly shove off
Yet another job has turned me down, I hear the sound of no rebound coming to save my ass
And the girl I love has turned away, I felt like I’ve been led astray. But don’t think I’m crying now
Here I am, another week goes by, I’ll kiss my chances goodbye. Chances of security.
Sad as it may be to be me, I can’t help but smile in spite, of all of your stability
I~ No I don’t care
No I won’t be bullied into your own paradigm of happiness
Who the hell are you to say what makes me smile
This is my life, you’ve got your own to do what you wanna do
So please kindly shove off
I’ve had another chat with my father about what it means to be a man, and how can I live like I do
Clearly I’ve no prospects of marriage and or happiness. Oh woe is he that mimics me
Here I am another year goes by, I might as well bid goodbye, to happiness in this life
Sad as it may be to be me, I can’t help but smile in spite, of all of your sympathy
I~ No I don’t care
No I won’t be bullied into your own paradigm of happiness
Who the hell are you to say what makes me smile
This is my life, you’ve got your own to do what you wanna do
So please kindly shove off

You know I meant it when I said I didn’t want you in my life~
And though you promised you would leave, I can’t believe just how naïve I was that night
You showed up again at my door at 4 am in the clothes you wore the eve before
And asked for me to take you back, to ignore the sins of our torrid past. Just how long do you think that would last?
Hell No!
There was a reason for the things I said to cut you that deeply last night~
I’d never wanna see you cry. Indeed, instead I’d rather die than see the tears in your eyes
But how can I get through to you? To let you see, we’re really though. We’re done~
I’m sick and tired of your schtick. It gets old really, really quick, I know! Just leave me alone!
Hell No!
I hope you see what I’m getting at. A relationship shouldn’t be tit for tat~
I promise you’ll find someone else. A better guy, in and of himself, who will treat you right
Just please go and leave me alone. You’ve worn me right down to the bone at last~
I won’t be held responsible for all the hell you put me through just get out of my life! And to answer one more time:
Hell no!

So you wanna hear a story, well I’ve got one for you
Just remember my words, and whatever you do
Never fall in love it’s a waste of time
Forget what you seen in movies
Forget what you read in books
Relationships are filled with lies and dirty looks
They’d rather see you dead before they see you smile
I’m not saying that it’s all just a waste of time
But I’d be lying if I didn’t say it was a grind
Oh, it’s a crime, yeah!
Perhaps you think that you’re different cuz you’re like nobody else
Well let me tell you something your life will become Hell
As soon as you agree to that misery
The honeymooning will last all of maybe three days
And after that you’ll regret the choice that you made
I’m amazed that everyone still tries at all
I’m not saying that it’s all just a waste of time
But I’d be lying if I didn’t say it was a grind
Oh, it’s a crime
Trust me, you’ll make all the same mistakes that we’ve all made before
Then finally you’ll see why love is such a chore
Just hear me when I say that it ain’t worth your time
But you won’t listen to me, you gotta screw up on your own
So when you do just all me up. I already know
I’ll meet you at the bar later on tonight.
Then we’ll drink until we pass out on the floor
And hit on anything that walks in through the door
I’m not saying that it’s all just a waste of time
But I’d be lying if I didn’t say it was a grind
Oh, it’s a crime, yeah!

You know I wanna laugh all day
Drink the night away with my closest friends and
You say that they're a waste of time but hang on they're mine, not yours
I'm not saying that you gotta love'em
But we got a problem if you're gonna stop me from
Goin out to make the poor decisions that I've envisioned tonight
And I didn't really wanna go until you forbade me from
Havin fun my way. Sorry but now I give a hoot
About the forbidden fruit in the next room
You know about my shitty week and how
Little sleep I've been functioning on
I could use a little memory chaser to erase the recent past
Maybe we'll go out and start bar hopping, or end up stopping
In the wrong part of town. Or maybe I'll pregame at home.
End up passing out alone
It doesn't really matter at this point
It's almost like I wanna disappoint you now
I'ma do what I wanna do. I'll joke, I'll drink, I 'll smoke if I want to!
You call it self destructive, I call it stress reductive
There's a bottle of gin within, that's full of sin
That'll give me the grin that
I've been waiting for all this time
No you don't wanna listen to me whine
So get on board, or get out of the way
The Lads are here to play oh yes we're here to stay to play today!
You know that I love you to death
But this is a mess that I wanna wrestle with
I could use a little liquid courage to discourage the pain
Of the fact that I'm a nobody. A homebody that likes to party and
I may never realize my dreams but baby I can blackout tonight
And I'll never get to play onstage at a show
Where people paid to come see me
All I got is the amateur hour
Where the beer is cheap and admission is free

Well I don't wanna hear your bullshit because you've spouted it before
Every time I hear the same thing when you walk in through that door
If you don't want to be here then just walk out, leave me be
It won't be that hard to get over you that, I guarantee
And if you can keep that promise then we'd all be better off
You're the spawn of the devil, honey, you ain't worth the cost
You say you wanna be here but you never save the date
And that next time you'll do better but it always feels the same
I just wanna make it work but all you do is make it hurt
I'm really sick and tired of always losing at this game
As cliche as it may be to admit this in a song
You're the spawn of the devil, honey you ain't worth the cost
There's nothing else for you to say
Get your shit and find somewhere else to stay
I'm done, you're through, I hope that you
Will burn in hell for quite a few
Eternities. It's the least you can do.

In a land so far away, there lived a little baby girl named May
Who dreamed of a wedding so exuberant and entertaining
And in a land not far from there, a baby boy with jet black hair
Whose name was Ray, he loved to play all day in the sun light
Who knew back then that they would meet each other in the middle of a busy street
May thought she felt her heart skip a beat (now isn’t that cute, but listen)
She gave her name and stuck out her hand, Ray shook it like a perfect gentleman
And that was when a guy named Clay came up to Ray and kissed him on the mouth cuz
Ray is gay. That’s just the way life is sometimes you
Gotta accept that at some point all you plans will get wrecked so
Just chill out. There’s no point in planning life out
If you’re screwed before you’re due just let life do what it wants with you
Back in high school there was a guy, who, above all things, loved pie
He’d have it everyday much to the dismay of his mother and his father
He loved apple, pumpkin, berries blue, cream, custard, key lime too
Banoffee, strawberry, and don’t forget the rhubarb
Who knew at that point he would get, a most ironic ailment
It came one day at the doctors office, if he knew he’d probably want to stop this
But the damage was already done. Mom and dad just looked at their son
The days of pie would have to die because their son developed
Diabetes. Type 2 specifically.
Sometimes you gotta expect that at some point your body will get wrecked by
A horrible disease caused by something that used to
Ease the passage of a horrid day, well goodbye fun. Hello misery
And I know that this song is kinda dark, but hey.
If I don’t address this epic mess of the common naivete
People will go around dreaming wholesome dreams of lives that they wish to have
Well wake up Sally, grow up Johnny lower middle class ain’t that bad!
I’m not saying that the grass isn’t greener on the other side
But it’s kinda hard to cross over when the reality is that life
Will screw you over more times than women, men, and the government combined
So why would you even try?
Well there’s this girl that I kinda like. A pretty girl who’s really bright.
She’ll laugh at me, tell me I’m funny. Maybe rest her head on my arm.
And I really want to make it known, how I feel when I’m alone.
How I think of her, does she think of me? I know it's getting creepy
But I know you know what I mean. I mean romantically.
Can it be what I want? Is it even a slim possibility?
Forget it I’ll just go up and ask. Make a total complete ass of myself
I don’t care I just wanna hear what her answer will be.
She thought that I was gay. Well I guess that would explain
Why she never minded at all when I saw her in her underwear while shopping at the mall right
After we just got through watching Sex in the City 2
I guess I should’ve known right there that with this girl, I’d be going nowhere

Come one, come all! The time to change your minds is at hand
Approach the stall! Everything you knew was a lie in hand
Can't you see? The truth may be hard to believe?
But just trust me, I am on you side!
Oh gather round! Come see the man that suffers from his ailments
His agony may cause you to turn away from his torment
Can't you see? Though it may not be your cup of tea
Will you help or will you leave him be?
Oh woe are we! That will not actively seek help for the weak
Oh Mercy me! Mercy me! Mercy we!
Step right up! Leave your worries and burdens at the door
Please pass the cup! We only ask a dollar, not a cent more
Can't you see? Some money will ensure that your sympathies will travel
That's all we need so be on your way
Oh ladies and gents! Inside, you'll see things that you'll never forget
Such awful acts, the likes of which no decent human could digest
Won't you see? Come in, and gander for a nominal fee
We'll show all for just a buck fifty!
Oh woe is he! Who will not prove he's man enough to go see
Oh Mercy me! Mercy me! Mercy we!
Come one, come all! Approach the stall!
Can't you see you should just trust me?
Oh gather round, don't be down!
Will you help or will you leave us be?
Step right up! Pass the cup!
Sympathy isn't all we need
Ladies and gents, such great acts
Won't you see for a buck fifty
Oh woe is he! Who will not give to us that which we seek
Oh Mercy me! Mercy me! Mercy we!
